What's New With ID.4
The new year brings with it several improvements to the ID.4. Now, this EV offers an upgraded electric motor that outputs more horsepower in its rear-wheel and all-wheel drive models. Additionally, Smithtown shoppers will find a larger 77.0-kWh battery pack is offered which increases the vehicle's overall range. The ID.4 also features a new 12.9-inch infotainment display and new wheel designs.

There are four trims for the Volkswagen ID.4.

Performance
Two powertrains are offered for the ID.4. A single electric motor with rear-wheel drive and a 58.0-kWh battery produces 201 horsepower. A larger 77.0-kWh battery and two electric motors offering all-wheel-drive and 330 hp.
Charging & Range
Currently, there are no estimates for the base 58.0-kWh battery pack. However, we do know the estimates for the larger 77.0-kWh. According to the EPA, the all-wheel-drive model has an estimated 263 miles, while the rear-drive version is rated at 291 miles.
Exterior/Interior Design
The exterior of the new ID.4 has the look of a standard SUV. However, its interior is anything but standard. In the cabin, Coram and Sayville drivers will find a new contemporary design complete with high-tech features, ambient lighting, and a generous cargo space.
The standard front seats are cloth and are heated, but higher trims like the Pro S offer faux-leather upholstery and 12-way power-adjustable front seats. The ID. 4's cargo area is quite spacious, with room for eight carry-on suitcases and 26 total with the rear seats folded.
Technology
Coming standard on the new ID.4 are features like a 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, though a 12.9-inch display is optional. The infotainment interface comes standard with navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. All ID.4 models also feature a 5.3-inch reconfigurable digital gauge and voice-recognition capability.
Safety
To ensure the safety of its drivers, Volkswagen has outfitted the new ID.4 with several standard and optional driver-assist features. Basic features include:
